I had the same problem, but the problem is not with the wifi card, but with the driver itself... So i resolve this by googling for penetrator app. This app exist on android, i was searching for something similar for windows7. This of course sucks because the 8.0.0.238 driver is needed for connectify which will let it work in AP mode but any large sized downloads like zip files will corrupt.
