Solved the problem! I had to install outdated drivers for the Intel GMA 3150. They weren't even Windows 7 drivers, but XP. Anyway, it installed without any problem, and my netbook didn't blow up, The best part: Freelancer menus look as they should! Thanks for your help anyway!

Hi Julian,

Is the text missing from the menus, or are you missing the menu buttons altogether?

The menu missing fonts is a known problem. If the fonts didn't install properly, you can try reinstalling them.

I've uploaded the fonts for Freelancer to my Box.com for you.

Hi, Matt. I got the next problem with Freelancer: the menus are corrupted. I can play the game-runs great, but I can't read the text of the menus! Any help? My system (ASUS EEEPC, 2GB RAM, Intel GMA 3150) is up to date with DirectX and drivers. Thanks!
